EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in Speech and Language or appropriate ASHA certification. Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Michigan Teacher Consultant Endorsement; AI and EMI preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience providing direct services, consultative services and instruction for students with significant communication and learning disorders, including autism. Experience with TEACCH, applied behavior analysis, PECS, social skills instruction. Knowledge of general education curriculum. Experience with augmentative communication devices. Experience conducting Functional Analysis of Behavior and writing Behavior Intervention Plans. Strong collaboration skills required. Supervision of Teacher Assistants. Data collection and progress monitoring required. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full time position, requiring regular reliable and predictable attendance on site to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

REASONING ABILITY
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of statistical information and data related to student achievement. OTHER SKILLS and

Interact with public and other staff as required. Apply knowledge of current replicated research and techniques related to sensory issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is directly responsible for safety, well-being, or work output of other people. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
