Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity for the 26/27 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working with students in a supportive educational environment near Watsonville, CA. This engaging role offers full-time hours from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday, starting on August 19, 2026, and ending on June 11, 2027. The district is seeking two dedicated SLPs to enrich student learning and facilitate communication growth. You'll have the chance to work at an elementary single-site setting, serving either an individual campus or supporting a blend of Resource Specialist Program (RSP) and Special Day Class (SDC) caseloads. This role provides a balanced mix of professional challenge and meaningful impact.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active California SLP license or eligibility for certification Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, individually and in groups Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student development Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress effectively Become a valued resource for students and educators during a pivotal year, while gaining fulfilling experience in a welcoming school community.
