Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding onsite contract position serving students in a transitional summer program near Vernon Hills, IL. This opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding CCC certification who thrives in a school environment and enjoys making a direct impact in a short-term setting. This assignment spans from June 1st to June 25th, Monday through Thursday, with working hours from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm (students attend 8 am to 1 pm). You'll work 24 hours per week, allowing for a focused schedule and plenty of personal time in the afternoons and long weekends.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois Recent experience working in a school-based setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to effectively support students in a transitional program environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language therapy sessions for individual students and small groups Collaborate with teachers and support staff to help students achieve their goals within the program Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes Participate in any required meetings, consultations, or trainings
