Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-8 general education setting on a part-time, contract basis. This role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year (June 2024). The position offers flexible scheduling for 2-3 days per week, making it ideal for professionals seeking a balanced workweek while making a meaningful difference. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in providing direct speech and language therapy, collaborating with educators, and supporting students' communication needs across elementary and middle school grades.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid SLP license or certification appropriate for schools Prior experience in a K-8 or general education school environment preferred Strong communication and organizational abilities Familiarity with IEP processes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Ability to quickly adapt to new settings and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for students in grades K-8 Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student goals and needs Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educational staff and families Maintain clear and timely records, including session notes and progress reports Consult with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment This opportunity offers the flexibility to tailor your schedule within a supportive school community, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality services and supporting student growth.
