when filled See attached job description. This is a full-time, district-wide (PK-12) position. Full credit is given for years of service in a public school system. Salary Range (Step 1 through Step 13):
Bachelor's Degree:
$47,173 to $85,696
Master's Degree:
$51,965 to $94,597 30 Credits above Master's Degree or 6th
Year Degree:
$55,390 to $101,375. Competitive medical and life insurance benefits. Work day is 7.25 hours; work year is 185 days (•186 for new hires). Additional information is found in the current Professional Agreement between the Thomaston Board of Education and the Thomaston Education Association. The Thomaston Public Schools district is located in Thomaston, Connecticut which encompasses a land area of 12 square miles and has a population of 7,922. The Town is 10 miles south of Torrington, 23 miles west of Hartford and is bordered by Waterbury, Plymouth, Harwinton, Litchfield, and Watertown. Thomaston is a residential community that consists predominantly of single-family homes affordable across a broad range of income levels. Residents are served by Thomaston's diversified economic base which includes many small and medium-sized manufacturers offering opportunities to its students through sound annual budgets, diverse course offerings, and internship/exploration programs.
