Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact working alongside students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a supportive school environment near Waukesha, WI. As a contract SLP, you'll play a key role in helping students improve their communication skills and reach their educational goals. You'll collaborate with special education teams to provide high-quality services, ensuring every student receives the individualized support they need.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current SLP license in Wisconsin. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required. Previous experience serving school-aged children is highly desirable. Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff. Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and adapt to changing student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech and language therapy plans. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine student eligibility and needs. Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support. Maintain required documentation and participate in IEP meetings. Track student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and report outcomes. Provide direct therapy services in both group and one-on-one settings within the school environment.
