Join a collaborative healthcare team in Woodstock, VA for a 14-week contract beginning ASAP. This full-time position follows an 08:00 AM-04:30 PM schedule and offers competitive pay: Travel rate $1,876/35-hours; Local rate $1,848/35-hours. Basic requirement Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license. Core responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing. Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders, determining type and severity. Develop individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals. Provide evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression. Evaluate and manage dysphagia, implementing safe swallowing strategies. Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate. Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, home programs, and carryover strategies. Monitor and document patient progress consistently; revise plans as clinically indicated. Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate care. Support patients in applying improved communication skills across daily activities, school, and work. Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current in best practices. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
