Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. Based near Colchester, CT and just a short drive from Norwich, this in-person position offers flexibility for full or part-time schedules during regular school hours (8:30 am - 3:00 pm). Work directly with Pre K through 2nd grade students, making a meaningful impact on their early communication and language development.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience or strong interest working in a school setting, especially with Pre K-2 age groups Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially for engaging with teachers, staff, and families Ability to attend Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings and document student progress Licensed (or eligibility for licensure) to practice in
Connecticut Core Duties:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in Pre K-2 Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting communication needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during PPT meetings and ongoing student reviews Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress and session notes Work closely with educators and families to support student success in the school environment Imagine yourself fostering foundational communication skills in young children, supporting their growth and confidence while enjoying a strong and collaborative school environment.
