Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language pathology services in an engaging school environment! This contract role allows you to work closely with students, educators, and families, making a meaningful impact on students' communication, academic performance, and self-confidence. Bring your skills and enthusiasm to a supportive educational setting, collaborating with other specialists to foster student growth and meet IEP goals. Use your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse student population, helping them overcome speech, language, communication, or swallowing challenges.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or possibility of Clinical Fellowship supervision Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in New Mexico Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred, but strong clinical experience considered Exceptional communication and organizational skills Commitment to culturally responsive and equitable practices Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to identify speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs Deliver therapy in individual and group settings within school hours Monitor and document student progress; adjust interventions as necessary Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams Provide support and education for staff and families Maintain thorough, compliant records and attend relevant meetings
