Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students and staff in a dynamic school-based setting near Wood River, NE. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, offering a chance to enhance communication skills and improve student outcomes across a diverse population. The position runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with guaranteed 37.5 hours per week. Applicants with both clinical fellow (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) credentials are welcome. Deliver direct and indirect services while focusing solely on your area of expertise—no extra duties such as parent pickup or bus supervision required. Travel therapists may qualify for stipends.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Nebraska SLP license (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in schools, or strong clinical skills with school-aged children SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY accepted Solid communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Passion for fostering student growth and engagement
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide therapy and intervention for students with speech, language, and communication challenges Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state policies Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Engage in IEP meetings to help guide student success
