Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Support students in achieving their communication potential and improving daily living skills in a dynamic K-12 setting. This contract opportunity places you within a dedicated educational environment where you'll collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to make a true difference across multiple schools in the community. The position offers the chance to work with a diverse student population and contribute to tailored therapy and intervention plans.
Key Qualifications:
Active Florida SLP or SLPA license required Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred Comfortable working and traveling across various schools within the county Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills Adaptability and enthusiasm for working with K-12 students from varied backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to meet the individualized education needs of K-12 students Collaborate with classroom staff and other school professionals to support student progress Complete screenings, assessments, and maintain proper documentation as required Travel between multiple school sites to provide comprehensive support across the district Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals for student achievement Provide family education and consultation as part of a holistic care approach What to
