Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role serving K-12 students for the 2026-2027 school year as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for professionals eager to make a meaningful impact, collaborate with dedicated educators, and help students in the school community reach their communication goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active SLPA license for the state of Texas (required) Previous experience supporting speech and language development in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Understanding of IEP processes and data collection for student progress monitoring Ability to work with students from kindergarten through high school (K-12) with diverse needs Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP Execute therapy interventions in both individual and small group settings Assist in the preparation of therapy materials and maintenance of documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Support the supervising SLP in implementing IEP goals and monitoring student progress Collaborate with educational staff and families to promote student success and inclusion Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice
