Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the school setting as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Located close to the North Carolina border and just an hour from exciting regional destinations, this opportunity places you in a supportive educational environment dedicated to student success.
Qualifications and Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply Previous experience in a school-based setting or strong clinical internship in pediatrics/schools Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong commitment to helping students develop their speech, language, and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists Provide direct therapy services to students across various grade levels Document progress, maintain detailed records, and complete necessary reports as required by the school Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development as needed Support generalization of communication skills within classrooms and social environments Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented learning atmosphere Take advantage of this contract role's flexibility and the opportunity to work near the beautiful North Carolina line—making travel and weekends easily accessible for personal time or adventure.
