THE ROLE
TheAMDHPC& Sovereign AIapplications teamseeksa strong,experienced,collaborative leader with sharp technical skills to lead a highlyeducated and motivated team from the front in a hands-on manner. The candidate needs to have a demonstratedtrack recordofdevelopment and leadership. The ability to interact withcustomers and partners is essential. You will work closely withstakeholders, diverseteamswithin AMD,external code owners,andcustomers tolead a development team in delivering high quality andperformantHPCand AIapplications for use on AMD GPU products. A successful candidate must be eligible for a US Department ofEnergy Qlevel access authorization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage a team of talentedscientificdomain experts,computational scientists, and performance optimization engineers to adaptandoptimizeHPCand AIapplications toperform on AMD hardware Lead the development and optimization ofperformancemodels, in collaboration withexperts across AMD,toaccuratelyproject performance of HPC and AI applications in future generation hardware Lead and coordinate technical content for customer RFPs and business proposals Drive the delivery of Exascale ready applications to AMD business units and customers Interact with stakeholders toestablishprogram requirements and schedules Work with otherAMDteams to continuously improve AMD development software products
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
5+ years in management / leadership roles. Excellent writing and presentation skills arerequired Demonstratedtrack recordofsoftware team management Technicalexpertisein foundational science,computer science, computer architecture,orcomputationalmathematics, and experience inone or more of the followingdomains: Computational Chemistry Computational Geophysics Oil and Gas applications Weather Modelling Applied Mathematics AI/ML Experience with JIRA or similar project management environment, ideally in an Agile software development environment. Experience withlarge machine procurement processesand export control compliance is a plus Experiencemanaging andcollaborating across a geographically distributed team (AMD has sites acrossNorth America, in Europe, and Asia)
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
PhD inComputer Science, Electrical/ComputerEngineering or relatedscientific computing domains
