Job Description
Amphenol is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. The Company designs manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems. The primary end markets for the Company's products are communications and information processing markets, including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication and information processing systems; aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.

Valley Green, PA ACS, a division of Amphenol, is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobil Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM's globally. Our global headquarters are located in Wallingford, CT and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing the development and launch of innovative connector Mezzanine Products. Your responsibilities include leading manufacturability assessments, supporting the design and implementation of new processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition from prototype to mass production. You will provide hands-on support within the manufacturing facility, addressing component, documentation, and quality challenges as they arise, and will actively engage with customers to deliver application expertise and drive new business opportunities. This position is integral to a global team, ensuring robust technical solutions and successful product introductions.RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead DFM assessment and manufacturability analysis for new product development. Support scaled global manufacturing and mass production readiness. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, production lines and automation solutions. Work with engineering teams to ensure designs meet manufacturability and cost targets. Support trial production, production ramp and mass production implementation. Drive cost reduction and manufacturing efficiency initiatives. Collaborate with automation teams and manufacturing plants to implement new equipment and processes.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Strong experience supporting global manufacturing operations and high-volume production. Experience with automated manufacturing lines and industrial automation. Knowledge of electronic assembly processes and production equipment. (SMT, Soldering process, Reflow, Pick and place equipment, etc.) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with international manufacturing teams. The role requires a willingness to travel often to manufacturing facilities in Mexico or Malaysia, approximately 30% of the time.Similar remote jobs
