$132k-$140k Position Overview M Force Partners is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the development of next-generation battery products from concept through production launch. This role serves as both the technical lead and project owner, guiding design, validation, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing readiness throughout the product lifecycle. This position plays a key role in improving engineering capabilities, driving cost optimization, enhancing product reliability, and ensuring safe, scalable production processes. Key Responsibilities Product Development & Project Leadership Lead new battery product development from concept, design, validation, and transition into production Act as the primary technical contact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout development Define product specifications, performance targets, and engineering requirements Manage project timelines, milestones, and technical deliverables Design Engineering & Prototyping Develop assembly methods, prototype builds, and documentation for new battery designs Create detailed engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures Identify and qualify new suppliers, tooling, and components to support product design Apply best practices in design for manufacturability and safety Testing, Qualification & Compliance Lead mechanical and electrical testing efforts, including data collection and validation reporting Finalize bills of material, assembly documentation, and product specifications Ensure designs meet applicable safety, regulatory, and performance standards Support qualification activities to certify product readiness for launch Production Launch & Continuous Improvement Coordinate with manufacturing teams to integrate new designs into production processes Lead industrialization and process optimization activities to support scalable production Support production and quality teams with technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement Evaluate new technologies and assembly methods to improve reliability and reduce cost Operational & Team Support Oversee documentation control and model shop activities as required Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures Support initiatives focused on process standardization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline 7-10 years of experience in product design and development of electromechanical devices (battery, automotive, electronics, or similar products) Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects from concept through production Experience designing assemblies involving plastics, wiring, connectors, and small electronic components Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Technical Skills Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3D mechanical design tools Working knowledge of electrical configurations for power systems (series/parallel, protection devices) Experience with safety and performance standards such as UL, IEC, MIL, or similar testing requirements Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and cost-driven product design Preferred Experience Background in battery systems, energy storage, automotive electronics, medical devices, or IoT hardware Experience supporting production launch and industrialization activities Familiarity with supplier management and component sourcing Job presented by M Force Partners M Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
