Job Description
- Summary
- The Senior Products Manager drives the development and management of banking products for both Academy Bank and Armed Forces Bank, with special expertise and emphasis on the credit card suite of products.
- Responsibilities
- Represents the product organization in executive level forums, providing strategic recommendations and performance updates.
- Owns the end to end product strategy for all consumer banking products, with emphasis on credit cards and Embedded Banking.
- Defines long term product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with corporate vision and financial objectives.
- Leads enterprise level market research efforts to identify emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive opportunities.
- Drives innovation initiatives to expand product capabilities, enhance digital experiences, and strengthen the Bank's competitive position.
- Serves as the senior owner of the Bank's credit card portfolio, directing product design, pricing, benefits, and lifecycle management.
- Oversees the evaluation and launch of new card products, features, and loyalty programs to drive revenue growth and client engagement.
- Leads enterprise initiatives to increase card acquisition, activation, utilization, and retention.
- Provides senior oversight of card vendor relationships, including network partners, processors, and loyalty providers.
- Partners with the Director of Embedded Banking to oversee credit card activity, network and processing performance, and BIN sponsorship programs.
- Develops strategies to position the Bank as a market leader in Embedded Banking and BaaS credit card solutions.
- Ensures operational excellence, compliance, and scalability across all embedded credit card programs.
- Owns full P&L responsibility for assigned product lines, ensuring revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost efficiency.
- Oversees financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analytics to guide strategic decisions.
- Establishes and monitors enterprise level product KPIs, including cross sell, retention, profitability, and adoption metrics
- Leads risk assessments for all new and existing products, ensuring compliance with regulatory, operational, and reputational standards.
- Recommends policy, procedure, and product changes to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Ensures product delivery frameworks mitigate identified risks and support safe, compliant growth.
- Oversees enterprise go to market strategies, ensuring alignment across marketing, sales enablement, operations, and digital channels.
- Ensures consistent, compelling product positioning and messaging across all client touchpoints.
- Leads internal communication and training strategies to support product launches and ongoing adoption.
- Leads, mentors, and develops other Product Manager(s) responsible for individual product lines, ensuring strong execution, professional growth, and alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Establishes team structure, performance expectations, and development plans to build a high performing product organization.
- Understands, embodies, communicates, and instills corporate initiatives and vision, including the six Pillars of Success.
- Maintains client information in complete confidence.
- Completes other specified duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance required, working at the assigned worksite during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.
- Protect all client and bank information confidentially and follow all company policies.

- Complete monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.

- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field highly preferred.
- Master's degree in business-related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, or significant experience in banking at a midsize or large national bank.
- Strong understanding of the product life cycle, product management principles, and banking regulations.
- Proficient at analyzing data to draw recommendations and conclusions. Highly effective at using data to drive campaign construction and product design.
- Strong financial analysis skillset with technical capabilities to build financial models with moderate complexity.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with market research and data analysis in the banking sector.
- Proficiency with product management tools and software.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is required.
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office Suite of products required, with heavy use of Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- Strong ability to present materials to all levels of organization.
