If you also have excellent people skills, structural engineering experience, exemplary work ethic and a strong understanding of U.S. Navy, USCG or MSC ship systems, we'd like to meet you. Responsibilities Work as part of a team to review and approve engineering and technical deliverables, including Structural Installation Drawings (SIDs) and supporting calculations Perform structural engineering analysis using industry tools, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and FEMAP Develop and review structural calculations, including foundation design meeting shock requirements Prepare and review Ship Change Documents (SCDs) and Ship Alteration Records (SARs) Conduct engineering quality checks on drawings and calculations prepared by other engineers or technicians Support LARS (Load Analysis and Rigging Support) and other shipboard structural evaluations Conduct research and engineering studies to support ship modernization initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams and, where applicable, lead or mentor junior engineers and designers Assist Program Managers with business development and customer engagement activities Serve in a client-facing capacity as needed Expect approximately 10% domestic and international travel Requirements Proven experience supporting U.S. Navy, USCG, or MSC vessels 5 years' experience with U.S. Navy Ship Modernization programs is preferred Strong background in structural engineering and analysis Proficiency with: AutoCAD & Inventor; FEMAP; Microsoft Office Suite Experience developing and reviewing: Structural calculations, SIDs, SCDs, and SARs Knowledge of shock analysis and DDAM Strong understanding of industry practices, shipboard systems, and engineering documentation standards Ability to interface directly with clients and stakeholders Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making ability Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field Must possess at least a
