Staff Accountant supports the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting & Customer Service. Position is primarily responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling accounts and ledgers. The individual must be an independent thinker and assist in developing efficient accounting processes.

Solid communication and analytical skills with ability to work as part of a team Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Ability to maintain confidentiality Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Extremely organized and detail oriented Excellent computer skills Experience working in A/R Department Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Self-motivated and must have initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Tracking overdue invoices and following up on them Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; prioritize, organize, document information, keep accurate records and follow-up as necessary to complete customer's job accurately and on time.MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job functions include interacting with customers to address their concerns, managing incoming/outbound calls and customer service inquiries. Day-to-day accounting and reporting activities regarding general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations. With every interaction, provide a world-class customer service experience. Collections and all AR functions Generate and send out invoices Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities Generate and review AR aging to ensure compliance Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records Collect data and prepare monthly metrics Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts Prepare bank deposits Bi-weekly payroll journal entries Monthly/Quarterly Sales Tax reporting Monthly Commission and Labor Bonus Calculations Preparing and process Payroll Assist with customer service department with calls on heavy call volume days Day-to-day accounting and reporting activities regarding general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations Journalize all necessary transactions and verify general ledger is in balance Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function; research and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and execute weekly check runs Prepare daily bank reconciliations prior to the month-end close; research and resolve discrepancies Assist in month-end close and financial statement preparation as needed, including monthly journal entry for accruals and reversals Assists with annual audit including preparation of audit schedules. Calculating, recording, inputting or processing financial data Work closely with the Controller in streamlining accounting procedures and processes along with the fiscal management of the companyNote:

Must be (18) eighteen years of age or older. Legally permitted to work in the United States. Pass background screening clearance for employment.
