Job Description

Non-Exempt :
25-30 hours/week
Summary:
Responsible for serving as the staff accountant for PAI and other companies that services are provided for by performing the following high level of duties. Responsibilities are subject to change and special projects may be assigned. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Generates and records daily payments as directed for multiple contract relationships.
  • Reconciles all payments to the general ledger and bank activity on a daily basis.
  • Creates weekly invoices for all payment transactions. Maintenance and upkeep of batch summary payment worksheets. Reconcile and create weekly/monthly invoices for all payment transactions as directed.
  • Backup to Senior Accountant in establishing daily payment batching schedule. Reconciles assigned cash accounts contained in the general ledger to the appropriate bank statements on a monthly basis.
  • Generate global transfer/ACH of funds as directed by CFO.
  • Processing and accounting of refund/voided checks.
Maintenance and upkeep of Finance and Accounting policies and procedures. Assist in fostering vendor relationships as needed. Provide and support internal and external clients on matters such as check research and payment application. Assists senior accountant with the analysis of information required, in the preparation of reports to the senior management or the administrator.
  • Works with auditors during the annual audit and provide supporting documentation to CFO upon request.
  • Responsible for special projects, as identified
Qualifications:

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software and other office applications including Microsoft Great Plains, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, spreadsheet software, accounting software, payroll time keeping system, and proprietary software, SQL, Sharp, ad net.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.
A. / B. S.
) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training in accounting or finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
Intermediate or above in Microsoft Excel training Pivot table
Grafting Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
Working knowledge of health insurance industry, government affairs and subsidy administration is a plus Ability to exercise sound judgement Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent customer service skills Attention to detail is a must Ability to be a team player and have a selfless attitude The above is intended to provide general guidance regarding the responsibilities of the position.
