Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care, ensuring medication safety, and supporting patient health outcomes. We have two locations located in Mobridge, SD. We cater to this location and multiple other smaller towns, as we are the nearest pharmacy in approximately 60 miles. We also service a nursing home and a assisted living facility. Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately while verifying dosage, interactions, and contraindications using advanced pharmacy software systems. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including evaluating medical histories and physiological data. Prepare and compound medications with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and sterile compounding protocols for IV infusions and other specialized therapies. Provide clinical pharmacy services such as medication management, pain control strategies, immunizations, and patient education on medication use and side effects. Manage inventory efficiently by monitoring stock levels, ordering medications, and ensuring proper storage conditions in compliance with regulatory standards. Document all interventions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support pharmacy technician staff by overseeing medication preparation processes and ensuring quality control throughout the workflow. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the applicable jurisdiction. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems; proficiency in pharmacy software is essential. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and deliver exceptional patient service with empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of protected health information at all times.
Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
