Staff Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility is seeking two experienced pharmacists for contract positions to support a 400-bed hospital environment. These roles provide an opportunity to work with a reputable health system and engage in diverse clinical and operational pharmacy functions.

Location:

Joplin, MO Schedule:

Variable day and afternoon shifts Four 10-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders promptly and accurately Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure workflow efficiency and compliance Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to provide medication consultations and optimize patient care Utilize pharmacy information systems including EPIC and Pyxis for order processing and inventory management

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Licensed pharmacist in good standing with relevant state boards Experience in hospital pharmacy operations, preferably in acute care settings Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
