Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital-based pharmacist position is available for dedicated professionals holding a valid Ohio pharmacy license. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care during night shifts, ensuring safe and effective medication use within an acute care setting.

Nights:
Thursday night through Wednesday night, 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM 7 days on, 7 days off rotation Located in Mason, OH Contract duration: 13+ weeks starting 6/1
Core Responsibilities:
Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders Monitor patient medication therapy for appropriateness and effectiveness Maintain compliance with departmental policies and regulatory standards Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare team members Participate in emergency drug therapy management and ensure medication availability Coordinate pharmacy technician activities to optimize workflow
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college Current Ohio pharmacy license in good standing Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to safety protocols
