Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a skilled pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical services in a 20-bed suburban hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering safe, accurate, and efficient medication distribution across patient populations, supporting both clinical staff and patients to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, DEA regulations, and hospital policies in medication handling and distribution Collaborate closely with physicians on drug selection, dosing, and adjustments to meet patient needs Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication therapies and safety practices Participate in Medication Safety initiatives, managing patient profiles and monitoring for adverse drug reactions Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and maintain strict narcotic accountability Support specialized care involving high-acuity cases such as NICU, cardiac patients, including technologies like
Impella and ECMO Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience in a high-acuity acute care setting Proven expertise in NICU and cardiac care pharmacy practice Strong knowledge of medication safety and regulatory requirements Excellent communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration

Suburban Tucson, AZ Schedule:
Day shifts, Monday through Friday This is a 13-week contract position with potential for temporary-to-hire consideration. Candidates should be prepared to start immediately.
