  • Performance Reviews Lattice This is Product Design at Lattice Lattice is a unified people platform
  • a full Talent Management suite covering performance reviews, engagement surveys, feedback, check-ins, goals, and career and compensation planning.
Since 2016, we've grown to support over 5,000 customers globally. We're now building the next generation of our AI-native product suite. We're a passionate group of people who are dedicated to growing together. Currently ~13, our team spans Brand Design, Product Design, and Research. We work closely with our cross-functional partners to ensure holistic thinking and high quality experiences for our customers. A note on what we're looking for Product design is evolving quickly in an AI-native world. As tools and processes continue to change, we are looking for someone who is extremely comfortable with (and even energized by) ambiguity, and is a demonstrated self-starter. You should push our tech stack, not wait to inherit one yet to be defined. We're looking for builders. People who can prototype in code, push pixels in design, and write the doc that aligns the room. We believe people who can flex when needed to play multiple roles can lead us on the fastest path to shipping the best products. Success here requires focus and the ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs to ensure we're always working on what matters most. We look for collaborative partners who take ownership of their work while supporting and elevating the rest of the team. If you enjoy working in a high-trust, collaborative environment, we'd love to meet you. What you'll do Own the end to end user experience for our Performance Reviews product area
  • a unique opportunity to revolutionize the performance review process for the AI era. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer stakeholders to define, scope, and execute against solving customer and business needs. Design systems, not features
  • understanding how the Performance Reviews product fits into the entire customer journey.
Partner deeply with other product areas to ensure the customer experience is cohesive, not disjointed. Work closely with your engineering team throughout the design and development process, bringing your team along and then ensuring every detail of the design is implemented in a high-quality way. Lead through ambiguity and own the hardest design problems. Champion and evolve our design system, setting the visual, UX, and interaction bar for the team. What you'll bring Even if you don't feel your experience covers everything listed below, we still encourage you to apply! The goal of this job posting is to establish the shape of the role, and we're open to adjusting the leveling if we find someone who's a great fit for that shape. Core design skills 7 to 10+ years designing complex workflows, in particular flows that move across or have impact on multiple products within a suite. Expert-level understanding of visual and interaction design: including typography, hierarchy, spacing, grids, and responsive layouts. Capable of producing novel, high-quality UI and occasionally diverging from standard patterns when it elevates the overall product.
Strong systems thinking:
proven success working with an established design system, by reusing existing components, as well as driving the evolution of that system by building net new components and layouts. Experience working across multiple teams to connect the dots, regularly considering the holistic user journey and how individual design decisions impact the cohesion of that journey. Experience deeply understanding customers and their needs, working closely with User Research and Data to collect and evaluate both quantitative and qualitative inputs, and incorporate those into your work. Communication & collaboration skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for succinctly articulating customer challenges and design decisions. A reliable and proactive partner for product and engineering: you think at a high-level about your team's focus area and collaborate closely with your PM and Engineering partners to define the future of what your team owns.
A champion of feedback culture:
regularly gives feedback that elevates other designers' work, mentors teammates, and models transparency in sharing and iterating on design. AI tooling skills & flexibility with role evolution With the evolving landscape of AI tooling, we are looking for a designer who is willing to experiment and flex in new ways, and is eager to be part of our evolving product development process, comfortable with their role evolving over time.
You should have:
A builder mindset: you're comfortable prototyping, working in coding tools, and using modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, coding agents) to accelerate how you work. An interest in applying AI tooling to your design process to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and depth of thinking. Very nice-to-haves Experience in a hybrid role (Design & Product, or Design & Eng) or an equivalent background (i.e. shipping code or heavily contributing to product definition as a designer) Experience in B2B SaaS, HR tech, performance management, or internal tooling A background or formal education in Graphic or Product Design
