Job Description

We're seeking a Staffing Development Coordinator passionate about working with seniors and geriatrics. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating hiring events, conducting interviews, evaluating resumes, and assisting with the onboarding process for new hires. The Staffing Development Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the scheduling of nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to work independently, and understand healthcare staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate nursing staff scheduling, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified medication aides, and certified nursing assistants, by facility policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staffing schedules, including shift changes, time off requests, and call-ins. Monitor and report on staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage is always maintained. Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies and temporary staffing services to ensure the proper staffing resources are available. Collaborate with the nursing team to identify staffing needs and adjust schedules as necessary. Assist with the recruitment and hiring of nursing staff as required. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to staffing and scheduling. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Nursing. Develop, coordinate, and implement recruitment plans for physicians and staff. Be familiar with the healthcare system in which you work.
