Controller Position Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to provide for proper accounting of business transactions within the general ledger of Harland Medical Systems and to monitor, enforce, and refine the accounting and finance processes within the company.
Responsibilities:
Lead the accounting processes for the following areas: Revenue, Costs of Goods Sold, Inventory, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, customer deposits, deferred revenue, outstanding debt, cash, and other accounting areas as identified by the Controller. This will include, reconciling accounts, analyzing detail transactions, inspecting supporting documentation, preparing journal entries, etc. Maintain effective controls over the accounting areas identified above, including administering cycle counts of inventory, reconciling accounts, and other control activities as identified by the Controller Manage the Company's credit card program by ensuring adherence to company policies, reconciling credit card activity to the general ledger and providing training and ad hoc support for the SAP Concur platform Research technical accounting issues and provide recommendations, conclusions and application of conclusions Assist in the development of the annual budget by building and maintaining a financial model for all Business units and business areas Support the development of new financial processes and procedures to support international growth Work with department managers and executives to monitor performance against budgets and identify operating levers to correct and enhance performance Work with the operations team to develop and monitor KPI's and further integrate operational activities into accounting/finance Work with external auditors and consultants during audit and tax field work providing supporting documents as requested Support and/or perform other duties as required
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance One to four years of work experience in accounting or finance related position Collaboration skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment including multiple/competing objectives Strong analytical skills, including at least intermediate excel knowledge Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Passion for innovation and problem solving supporting our operational growth CPA or CMA (nice to have)
Measures of Success:
Delivering high quality accounting and finance deliverables in relation to reconciliations, detailed journal entries, financial analysis, and other deliverables associated with performing job duties Collaborating effectively with team members and cross functionally with other business units to accomplish job duties Managing multiple priorities in an effective manner Developing cross functional relationships to facilitate monthly reporting

Heated and air-conditioned office environment Employee is required to use appropriate PPE including, but not limited to, nitrile or latex gloves, lab coat, hair bonnet, shoe covers, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection, face shield, or respiratory mask while working in a lab or manufacturing space Harland Medical System's commitment to ensure employee health and safety is a priority. Personnel engaged in manufacturing shall obtain training required by
ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR
part 820, FDA 21 CFR part 210 & 211, and Harland Medical System's internal procedures, where deemed appropriate per assigned job functions.

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
