Steam Line/Buffet Cook

Mr. Ray's Cafe Mr. Ray's Cafe is seeking a dependable, motivated Buffet Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining buffet items, ensuring food quality, presentation, and freshness throughout service. We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, follows recipes and food safety standards, and takes pride in delivering a great dining experience. Position Details Full-Time & Part-Time available Day, Evening, Weekend, and Holiday availability required Competitive pay based on experience Responsibilities Prepare buffet menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards Set up, stock, and maintain buffet line throughout service Monitor food quality, freshness, temperature, and presentation Refill buffet items quickly and efficiently as needed Assist with prep work including cutting, portioning, and food preparation Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service Assist with cleaning and closing duties at the end of each shift Qualifications Previous cooking or buffet experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and organization Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Team-oriented with a positive attitude Why Join Us?
