Key Duties:

Set up and operate metal slitting lines and cut-to-length machines Perform tooling and knife changes Monitor steel coil processing and material quality Read work orders and production specifications Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely Perform preventative maintenance and minor troubleshooting Maintain accurate production and inventory records Follow all OSHA and workplace safety standards Keep production areas clean and organized

Required Qualifications Experience Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience operating steel slitting lines or metal processing equipment Experience with cut-to-length lines required At least 2 years of forklift and overhead crane operation experience

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of slitter tooling, knives, and machine setup Preventative maintenance experience Ability to read and follow computer-based instructions Strong industrial math skills including fractions and decimals

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Ability to stand and work in an active manufacturing environment
