Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by providing high-quality care in a specialized stepdown setting. This contract position offers a dynamic environment for registered nurses seeking to expand their expertise with long-term vent weaning patients.
Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of recent experience in a stepdown or intermediate care unit Proven competency managing patients on ventilators, with experience supporting long-term vent weans Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, with a focus on those undergoing long-term ventilator weaning Administer medications, implement physician orders, and perform diagnostic tests as needed Monitor and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, utilizing advanced critical care skills Support, educate, and collaborate with both patients and families during the recovery process Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care This opportunity allows you to work alongside experienced professionals while delivering vital care to patients requiring close respiratory monitoring and advanced interventions.
