Job Description
Job Summary This job is a mix of Sterile Compounding and supporting pharmacy in other activities such as patient intake, appointment coordination with physician offices and nursing agencies, drug ordering and inventory management, and supporting pharmacy in other activities. The pharmacy technician assists with the compounding of sterile preparations in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures, assembly of patient supplies and equipment, and other tasks under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The pharmacy technician assists with the maintenance and cleaning of the pharmacy work areas as described in the Apollo References Manual, and assists with quality control and performance improvement activities as directed by the franchised pharmacy manager. This position reports to the pharmacy manager.

Good interactive skills with employees, supervisors, referral sources, and consumersRequired:
Registered with State Board of Pharmacy (if applicable in state(s) of service area)Preferred:
National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT)Preferred:
Completion of pharmacy technician training preferredPreferred:
Experience in laboratory or health care setting Physical Requirements May require lifting over 40 lb. Example Lifting cases of enteral formula and infusion solutions May require standing for extended periods. Example Standing at laminar air flow hood during product preparation May require frequent use of computer keyboard. Example Data entry, patient documentation, label preparations, etc. May require use of latex products. Example Clean and sterile gloves; latex injection ports May require moderate to high amounts of driving (extended sitting). Example Patient deliveries Perform infusion related sterile compounding procedures in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures.Job Types:

This position will involve working on patient intake, onboarding, scheduling, talking to patients, physician offices and nurses to coordinate appointments, ordering medications, inventory management, billing and other pharmacy activities.
