Full-Time Days (No Weekends) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supervisor - Sterile Processing to lead the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department. The ideal candidate will oversee decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while ensuring compliance with infection prevention and regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in sterilization processes, and the ability to maintain a high standard of patient safety and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily sterile processing department operations and workflow. Oversee decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines including Joint Commission (JC), OSHA, CDC, and AAMI. Monitor and validate sterilization processes and quality control testing. Train, mentor, and evaluate sterile processing staff to maintain competency and efficiency. Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper instrument and equipment management. Collaborate with operating room staff, infection prevention teams, and other hospital departments to support patient care. Troubleshoot equipment and sterilization process issues to minimize downtime. Ensure accurate documentation of sterilization records and department activities. Promote a safe and organized work environment while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

QualificationsRequired:

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification or equivalent required. High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2-3 years of sterile processing experience required. Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and automated sterilization systems. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Experience working in an acute care hospital setting. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and case cart systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail. DH Pay:
