Job Summary Join our dynamic Surgery Center team as a Sterile Processing Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and readiness of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of sterilization, inventory management, and infection control, supporting exceptional patient care. This energetic position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to precision, safety, and teamwork. Duties Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices following strict aseptic techniques. Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring all equipment meets quality standards before sterilization. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies and medical equipment, accurately tracking usage and restocking as needed. Document sterilization cycles, maintenance activities, and inventory records meticulously to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Prepare sterilized instruments for distribution to various hospital departments or surgical units. Follow detailed protocols based on physiology and anatomy knowledge to handle specialized equipment correctly. Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies. Skills Strong understanding of sterile processing procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to properly handle specialized surgical instruments. Proficiency in inventory management systems to track supplies efficiently. Ability to adhere strictly to infection control standards and safety protocols. Excellent attention to detail for inspecting equipment and maintaining accurate records. Effective communication skills for coordinating with healthcare teams and documenting activities clearly.
