THIS POSITION WILL HAVE A START DATE BETWEEN MAY 9TH AND MAY 21ST JOB SUMMARY

Lakes End Store Associates are an essential part of the Marina team and Lakes End Staff. Store associates are critical to the maintenance of a friendly and guest-centered atmosphere, as well as ensuring an excellent experience for every guest. The Store Associates are the face behind the desk, often the face of first contact for many of our guests, who are responsible for booking boats, helping guests with general information, keeping the store stocked and clean, and assisting rental needs. He/she will take boat reservations in person, online, and over the phone, and assist guests inside with completing transactions and answering inquiries. As well as assisting with events and activities, and helping other areas of the company when needed. Position Responsibilities Provide exceptional guest service that meets and fulfills each guest's specific needs, with an attention to detail. Professionally assist the needs of all guests based on individual guest needs. Promptly and courteously greet and assist all guests. Help guests with any questions or concerns they have regarding the marina, the boats, boating operations, the lake, and the area. Assist guests in creating reservations in person, online, and over the phone. Correctly process sales and reservations through Point-of-Sale transactions in an accurate and efficient way that meets the established Lakes End policies and procedures. Maintain store appearance, bathroom, and cleanliness to professional standards. Stock and inventory merchandise and store items. Know and understand Lakes End Marina's hours of operation, rates, and policies. Promote various activities that Lakes End has to offer, as well as provide information on other activities in the surrounding area. Assist in maintaining a clean and professional property appearance. Perform and complete Marina Store opening and closing procedures. Assist in setting up events and activities that take place at Lakes End. Assist in other areas at Lakes End and StayNantahala when help is needed. Communicate with other Marina team members (specifically the Marina Manager or supervisor) to resolve any issues or conflicts in a timely manner. Maintain a positive team environment and dynamic amongst the staff. Follow all Lakes End Marina and StayNantahala policies and procedures. Position Requirements The essential functions needed for this include, but are not limited to the following: Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to remain calm with a positive attitude during times of high activity. Ability to interact productively and cordially as a team with co-workers. Must be willing to learn, adapt, and follow instructions with a good work ethic. Willing and able to commit to the seasonal demands of the position, including holidays, weekends, and scheduling variability throughout. The ability to report for work at the time scheduled for each shift and to fulfill the job requirements for the duration of the shift or until relieved of duties by a direct supervisor. The ability to understand and follow posted work policies and procedures. Must be able to multitask, be friendly, outgoing, and have a drive to please all guests. Comfortable with some of the physical and mental demands of the job, such as light lifting, standing, working outdoors in different weather conditions, repetitive movement, contact with guests (face-to-face, telephone), conflict situations, decision making, and working well with others. Full-time and part-time positions are available for seasonal employment. Seasonal positions last from April/May to October. Year-Round employment is available. On-call availability, in addition to normal hours always a bonus.
