Store Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy Ship's Store and Fishing Tackle Shop located in the heart of Montauk. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for fishing, boating, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, seasonal retail environment. Candidates MUST have their own living accommodations in or near Montauk area. Star Island does not offer housing. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in fishing tackle and boating supplies Manage inventory levels and place orders with vendors Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail space Supervise and schedule seasonal staff Handle point-of-sale transactions and ensure accurate cash handling Coordinate with marina and dock staff as needed Qualifications Basic knowledge about fishing and boating is a plus Retail or management experience preferred Comfortable with early morning hours (some shifts start at 6:00 AM) Strong organizational and leadership skills Able to work longer hours during peak season (May-September)

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
