Job Overview Countrypaint & Hardware is seeking an experienced, depndable, and professional Store Manager to join our leadership team in North Branford, Connecticut. We are looking for a proven leader who can uphold those standards while helping lead the next chapter of our business. This is a key leadership position with significant responsibility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store operations, drive sales growth, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will inspire your team, manage inventory, and implement effective merchandising strategies. As a Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind our store's performance, fostering a positive work culture and delivering outstanding service to our valued customers. Serious inquiries only. Key responsibilities Lead and supervise all daily store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff management Lead, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and engagement Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism Supervise scheduling and team accountability Monitor inventory levels, merchandising, and store organization Assist with onboarding, and employee development Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies Coordinate with ownership on store goals, priorities, and performance Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-focused environment Conduct regular inventory audits, stock replenishment, and shrinkage prevention measures Support hardware, paint, and retail operations as needed Qualifications Proven management experience with a strong background in retail sales and team supervision 5+ years Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and provide clear guidance Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and bookkeeping Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, and cash handling Professional demeanor and strong decision-making skills Reliable, accountable, and self-motivated Experience with employee orientation and training & development programs Ability to work flexible retail scheduling as needed Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs Join us as a Store Manager where your leadership will make a real impact!
