Street Department

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on streets, sidewalks, and other public areas
• Operate and maintain various equipment and tools used in street maintenance, such as trucks, tractors, mowers, and hand tools
• Repair potholes, cracks, and other surface defects on roads and sidewalks
• Install and maintain street signs, and pavement markings
• Clear debris and snow from streets during inclement weather
• Assist with traffic control during road construction or maintenance projects
• Respond to service requests and complaints from the public regarding street conditions
• Maintain accurate records of work performed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class D driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate various types of equipment used in street maintenance
• Knowledge of basic construction and repair techniques
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
