Jun 1, 2026 Job Description Riverton Unified School District No. 404 is currently accepting applications for a strength and conditioning instructor/coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Individuals will be responsible for continued implementation of a comprehensive physical performance program for middle school and high school students/athletes during both the school year and summer months. The key role of this position will be improving athletic performance, promoting injury prevention/recovery and fostering a culture of discipline, accountability and lifelong fitness. This position requires: Working collaboratively with head coaches across all sports to support athletic development Teaching proper lifting techniques, speed and agility training, and injury prevention strategies Supervising students in the weight room and ensuring a safe training environment Monitoring and tracking student progress and performance metrics Implementing workouts for student athletes who are In Season and Out of Season throughout the academic year Promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and positive character development Maintaining and organizing equipment and facilities Ensuring compliance with school policies and safety standards Candidates should hold a valid Kansas teaching license with a K-12, 7-12, or 9-12 physical education endorsement. Although not a requirement for consideration, CSCS and/or USAW certifications are of particular interest to the school district.
