Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Structural Draftsman / Detailer in Tarboro, NC with a fast-growing, family-oriented metal fabrication job shop known for exceptional quality, delivery, and customer service. This is a great opportunity to join a respected small team where your detailing, drafting, and fabrication knowledge will directly support projects for industries such as farming, food processing, peanut processing, glass processing, and other industrial customers. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Draftsman / Detailer position include: Experience as a structural draftsman, detailer, or similar role in a fabrication or metal works environment Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD LT, Fusion 360, Inventor, or Inventor CAM is a plus Ability to accurately interpret steel layouts, transitions, ducting, component orientation, drawings, and specifications General knowledge of steel shapes, typical applications, fabrication methods, and material requirements Perform material take-offs using project drawings, specifications, and provided details Produce shop drawings, cut lists, and related documentation for the fabrication division Generate RFIs to clarify project requirements and obtain missing details from customers Inspect fabricated items and components prior to field installation or customer delivery

Salary :

$30 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including an IRA with 3% match, one week of vacation after one year, two weeks of vacation after three years, three weeks of vacation after five years, six paid holidays, overtime potential, and a Monday through Thursday four-tens schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional Friday work.
