The Mail & ID Center Student Assistant provides high-quality customer service and operational support for campus mail services, the ID Center, and campus workrooms. This role supports daily logistics operations while developing career-ready skills aligned with the NACE Career Readiness Competencies, including communication, professionalism, teamwork, critical thinking, leadership, equity & inclusion, and technology.   • Delivers inclusive, high‑quality customer service by building positive relationships through clear communication, courtesy, and reliable follow‑through (Communication, Professionalism, Equity & Inclusion)
  • Manages mail and package operations by accurately receiving, sorting, tracking, distributing items, and resolving issues (Professionalism, Critical Thinking)
  • Processes campus ID services, including printing ID cards and tracking replacements for faculty, staff, and students (Technology, Professionalism)
  • Provides frontline operational support for the mailroom, ID center, and campus workrooms, including assisting with copier use (Teamwork, Communication, Technology)
  • Distributes mail across campus locations in an efficient and dependable manner (Professionalism, Career & Self‑Development)
  • Processes mail using postage systems and online shipping tools to generate accurate labels (Technology, Professionalism)
  • Monitors and manages inventory of workroom, copier, and printer supplies to ensure uninterrupted campus operations (Professionalism, Technology)
  • Organize storage areas and coordinate with the individuals who are responsible for items in storage (Teamwork)
  • Helps with surplus furniture and equipment

Looking for a student to start right away and continue through the 2026 summer into the 2026-2027 academic year Working Conditions / Work Schedule Work in the Mail & ID Center takes place in an office-like setting with laptop, computer and iPad use but will include: working at a kiosk, sitting, standing, walking and pushing/pulling a heavy cart or pallet jack to all areas on campus in all weather, unloading and loading packages of all sizes to multi-level shelves, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in close proximity to others, entering data, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, answering phones, sending emails, working independently Posting Detail Information Posting Number
