Stuffing Team Lead

Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for a Stuffing Team Lead. The Stuffing Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the stuffing process within the processing department. This leadership role ensures that machinery operates efficiently; products are being stuffed according to exact specifications, and all safety and food quality standards are being met. The Lead supports the Superintendent with daily planning, provides training and guidance to general production employees, and acts as a liaison with the Quality department to uphold product integrity and regulatory compliance. Essential Duties Assist the Superintendent with developing and executing the daily production schedule, as needed. Monitor stuffing equipment for safe, consistent, and efficient operation. Adjust machine settings to ensure correct stuffing weights, lengths, and casing specifications. Verify and document code dates, truck tags, and product measurements to ensure traceability. Lead and train general production employees working in the stuffing area. Ensure new employees are adequately trained in procedures, safety, and quality standards. Communicate stuffing and product specifications to the team. Collaborate with the Quality and Maintenance departments to maintain equipment functionality and product quality. Accurately collect and report data related to production scorecards, quality checks, and operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all sanitation protocols. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and allergen control procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production efficiency and team performance. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing, with stuffing or casing experience preferred. Prior leadership or training experience is a plus. Strong understanding of GMPs, sanitation practices, allergen programs, and food safety. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust machinery. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in collecting and reporting production or quality data. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to maintain high operational standards. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per shift. Must lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Repetitive motion and physical activity are required. Work is performed in a refrigerated/cold environment. PPE must be worn at all times in production areas. Noise levels may be moderate to high depending on the equipment used.
