Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sub Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a high standard of service. Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold quality standards. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient workflow and team cohesion. Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating dietary requirements and innovative culinary techniques. Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper food handling procedures. Manage inventory control and stock levels for food supplies, minimizing waste while maintaining freshness and availability. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for large groups or special occasions. Contribute to kitchen management tasks such as shift scheduling, training new staff, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Qualifications Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, or a similar culinary role within the food industry. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments such as restaurants or catering operations. Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations, dietary accommodations, and inventory management techniques. Strong background in fine dining service, menu planning, and catering operations. Excellent cooking skills with proficiency in various culinary techniques and food handling practices. Prior banquet experience and familiarity with hospitality standards are highly desirable.
