Substitute Assistant Group Supervisor Danville, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22577533 Summary Danville, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 2 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Substitute Assistant Group Supervisor This is a full time position, Mon-Fri, with varied daily room assignments. The Substitute Assistant Group Supervisor supports the Group Supervisor in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children across various classrooms and age groups. This full-time position involves varied daily assignments based on program needs and includes active supervision, responsive care, and assisting with individualized learning experiences using age-appropriate materials and best practices to support children's social, emotional, cognitive, motor, academic, and language development. This role also works collaboratively with staff, families, and the community while maintaining compliance with DHS regulations, Keystone STARS standards, CACFP regulations, and NAEYC accreditation standards. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED and 30 college credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Human Services, or a related field OR High school diploma or GED and 15 college credit hours in one of the above fields plus 1 year of experience working with children OR High school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience working with children Preferred Qualifications Experience in a licensed childcare or early learning setting Knowledge of Keystone
STARS, DHS
regulations, and NAEYC standards Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Experience using computers, tablets/iPads, and Microsoft Office Physical Requirements Candidates must be physically able to safely supervise and actively engage with young children throughout the day. This includes the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, reach, climb stairs, quickly transition from sitting to standing, participate in indoor and outdoor active play, and respond quickly in emergency situations, including chasing an eloping child if necessary.
