Substitute Group Supervisor Danville, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22577528 Summary Danville, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 2 Years Experience Post-secondary academic degree, Associate degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Substitute Group Supervisor This is a full time position, Mon-Fri, with varied daily room assignments. The Substitute Group Supervisor provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This role includes planning and leading age-appropriate activities, maintaining active supervision, building positive relationships with children and families, and ensuring compliance with DHS regulations, Keystone STARS standards, CACFP regulations, and NAEYC accreditation standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Human Services, or related field OR Bachelor's degree with 30 credit hours in one of the above areas and 1 year of experience working with children OR Associate degree with 30 credit hours in one of the above areas and 2 years of experience working with children Preferred Qualifications Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification Experience in a licensed childcare or early learning setting Familiarity with Keystone
STARS, DHS
regulations, and NAEYC standards Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Experience using Microsoft Office, computers, and tablets/iPads Physical Requirements Candidates must be physically able to safely supervise and actively engage with young children throughout the day. This includes the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, reach, climb stairs, quickly transition from sitting to standing, participate in indoor and outdoor active play, and respond quickly in emergency situations, including chasing an eloping child if necessary.
