Substitute Custodians

The Holyoke Public Schools is seeking substitute custodians to work as needed on a daily basis. Successful applicants will be placed on a call list and notified when work opportunities become available. Substitutes are at-will and temporary employees.

Job Duties:

Substitutes work as part of a team of custodians within a building to perform general cleaning duties. Custodians must operate equipment as required and must appropriately handle cleaning supplies.

Job Requirements:

strong verbal communication skills ability to work as a member of a team ability to take direction from supervisor ability to work independently with guidance or direction attention to detail ability to perform physical tasks such as mopping, sweeping, lifting trash cans, moving furniture, and other similar duties.
