Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students continue to receive quality instruction in the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a passion for working with children across various age groups. Responsibilities Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and adapt them as necessary to meet the needs of students. Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior effectively. Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation. Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning when required. Provide instruction in various subjects, assist in circle, centers, outdoor time and promote age appropriate activities. Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or other special education requirements. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Document student attendance and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in education. Qualifications Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. Strong background in early childhood education, childhood development, or related fields is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning processes. Experience tutoring or providing individualized support to students is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience in private schools or Montessori settings is advantageous.
