Summer Camp Counselor

Red Clover Camp is a nature based summer camp for young children ages 5-8 years. We spend our time exploring outdoors, taking field trips throughout northern Vermont, riding bikes, and engaging in art. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, kind, and organized counselors to join us for the summer!

Responsibilities:

Engage in and coordinate daily activities, including sports, field trips, arts and crafts, nature exploration, and team-building exercises. Provide guidance and support to staff in their roles as mentors and educators. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding camp activities, policies, and camper progress. Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, medical information, and incident reports. Collaborate with other counselors and administrators to share best practices and resources. Drive a 14 passenger bus and transport campers for field trips throughout northern Vermont.

Ideal Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree either completed or in progress Previous experience working with children or students in a camp or educational setting. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in youth programming. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Certified in CPR and First Aid or Wilderness First Aid, as well as Lifeguard certification. If not current in these certifications, training will be provided and will occur before camp starts.
