Summer Camp Counselor Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center Dickinson, TX Job Details Full-time $10 - $13 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Paid training Childcare Qualifications School experience CPR Certification Daycare High school diploma or GED Camp Full Job Description Summer Camp Counselor Highland Forest Daycare & Early Learning Center Dickinson, TX 77539 Monday-Friday Job Overview Highland Forest Daycare & Early Learning Center is hiring a Summer Camp Counselor to join our team in Dickinson, TX. We are looking for energetic, dependable, and engaging individuals who love working with children and can help create a fun, safe, and structured summer camp experience for school-age children. This position includes supervising campers, leading activities, supporting field trips, and ensuring children remain safe, engaged, and well cared for throughout the day. Responsibilities Supervise school-age children in a summer camp setting Maintain active supervision and accurate child counts at all times Lead games, crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and group activities Assist with field trips, special events, and summer programming Support positive behavior management and conflict resolution Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures Assist with transitions, meal supervision, water breaks, and sunscreen routines Help maintain clean and organized classrooms and shared spaces Communicate professionally with parents at pickup when needed Complete incident reports and communicate concerns to leadership Follow Texas childcare licensing standards and center policies
Qualifications Required:
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED Experience working with children (daycare, camp, school, babysitting, after-school program, youth programs, etc.) Reliable transportation Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stay active throughout the day Must pass background check and meet Texas childcare licensing requirements
Preferred:
Previous summer camp experience Childcare/daycare experience CPR/First Aid certification Experience with school-age children Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods Ability to supervise children outdoors in summer weather Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Benefits Paid training Employee childcare discount Supportive team environment Fun work atmosphere Schedule 8 hour shift 1 hour lunch break Monday to Friday Day shift No weekends

$10.00 - $13.00 per hour
