Summer Camp Director

The Cambridge Club of Aberdeen Swim & Play Camp Director is responsible for overseeing all program aspects of the day-to-day operations of the program. The Camp Director's primary responsibility is to provide support and to ensure a safe, fun summer experience while working well with the campers and counselors on the team. Duties include, but are not limited to, directing camp program activities and special events through the coordination of staff and resources, providing supervision to ensure the program is meeting the quality standards of The Cambridge Club.

QUALIFICATIONS

21+ an meets NJ experience requirements for camp leadership Pass required background checks/clearances First Aid Certification (Required) CPR Certification (Required) College Degree and currently a college student, child-related / or sports studies a plus Mature, positive, enthusiastic personality with an ability to work with children and lead a team of counselors. Ability to communicate with children and parents. Carry out plans during the camp season, ensuring activities are well thought out, diverse, progressive, challenging, and fun for all the campers. Strong, proven background in child development, child care, community work, or youth-serving areas. Must be able to calmly handle situations under pressure and be able to think and respond quickly and effectively; Able to work without direct supervision and is self-accountable. Full-time seasonal role, 7 weeks, requires 40 full-time hours over its duration. Part•time hourly available now.
