Summer Camp Instructor

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while honing your teaching, childcare, and leadership abilities. Duties Lead and supervise daily camp activities. Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by implementing proper behavior management and emergency procedures. Maintain a positive and energetic atmosphere that encourages teamwork, creativity, and personal growth among campers. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and behavior as needed. Assist with setting up camp spaces, organizing supplies, and preparing materials for various activities. Support fellow staff members by collaborating on program planning and ensuring smooth daily operations. This is a max of 32 hours per week and a minimum of 24 hours per week. Skills Strong classroom management skills to guide children's behavior effectively while fostering a fun learning environment. First aid certification to respond confidently to minor injuries or health concerns. Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or early childhood education. Knowledge of childhood development principles to tailor activities appropriately for different age groups. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and positively.
